Little Guest is proud to present its very first hotel in Corsica: The Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa! It is indeed on this beautiful island, and more precisely in a peaceful cove of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio, that this five-star establishment is hidden, having preserved its family home spirit since its opening in 1963.
Nestled along a fine sandy beach, in the heart of a sumptuous private park, this Eden has since then welcomed an international family clientele in search of comfort and refinement. An atypical place par excellence, this establishment, renovated over the years, skilfully blends modernity and authenticity to offer its guests a warm and elegant atmosphere where the Corsican way of life reigns supreme.
This little corner of paradise, located 10 minutes from the centre of Porto-Vecchio and 40 minutes from Bonifacio, is easily accessible from Figari airport (30 minutes). A transfer service to and from the airport is also offered by the hotel to guarantee a VIP welcome and arrival. For further information, please contact the Little Concierges team or visit the About section.
The Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa offers guests the luxurious intimacy of a holiday home with unostentatious charm and assured taste. The decoration, designed in the warm spirit of the beautiful houses of the South, is based on a subtle blend of white and greengage to create a bobo-chic atmosphere. Here and there, antique objects, brought back from travels by the owners of the place according to their findings, invite you to a change of scenery and give each of the rooms a singular and unique character.
The hotel also has an excellent table, brilliantly served by two creative Chefs who imagine their dishes around local products, vegetables harvested directly from the organic vegetable garden and fresh eggs harvested daily from the hotel’s henhouse. During your stay at the hotel you will have access to the following facilities:
From the irreproachable quality of its services to its exceptional location, feet in the water, from its gardens shaded by umbrella pines to its fine sandy beach, Cala Rossa makes you experience Corsica in all its splendour: the wooden pontoon, the bar-restaurant on the suspended terrace, the view of the gulf of Porto-Vecchio… the postcard is idyllic.
Ariane, mother of two children aged 4 and 6
In June, I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa with my partner and my two children aged 4 and 6. Located on the south coast of Corsica, close to Porto-Vecchio, this hotel had been on my mind for a while and I was looking forward to discovering a little more about it while enjoying some relaxing moments with my family. The suspense will be short… we absolutely loved it. I’ll tell you why!
As I said earlier, the hotel is located only 10 minutes away from Porto-Vecchio but also 40 minutes away from Bonifacio, which makes it the ideal place to discover this part of the island. Nestled along a fine sandy beach, the hotel has blended harmoniously with the lush vegetation of the surrounding area. Our arrival in this atypical place, skilfully mixing modernity and authenticity, went like clockwork. The porter and luggage handler were very friendly and the reception team was extremely welcoming to the whole family. My children were given two beautiful wooden toys at check-in. What better way to start the holiday than with gifts?
After a few explanations about the hotel’s facilities, the reception team offered us a coffee by the water while we waited for our room to be ready. The terrace of the bar, which overlooks the sea, allowed us to gently take our bearings under a magnificent sun. As for the children, they didn’t wait a second to go for a swim. Sunshine, a warm welcome, happy children… in short, an absolutely perfect arrival!
The hotel also makes it a point of honour to offer a warm welcome to families, regardless of the age of the children. We could see this when we arrived in our room. We had opted for one of the suites located in the main building and we were not disappointed! Located on the second floor, our suite offered a sublime view on the sea and the pine forest. With its size perfect for a family of four with young children, a mix of antique furniture and more recent features, and a large bathroom with a shower and bath, our suite made us feel right at home!
Close to all the hotel’s amenities, our suite was super comfortable and spotlessly clean. A jar of homemade jam and a small handwritten welcome card were waiting for us inside… two nice touches that hit the spot, we were under the spell! Very well thought out and fitted out, the suite offers plenty of storage space and a dressing room big enough for a family of four. In addition, a sliding door separates the parents’ room from the children’s one, which is perfect for enjoying good times with your family while protecting everyone’s privacy!
What struck me most during my stay was the incredible serenity felt by the whole family! The Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa has an extremely relaxing holiday home atmosphere in all areas! From the cosy room, to the spa with its delicious scents, to the shaded beach, the vegetable garden and the chicken coop (my children’s favourite place), everything inspires calm and relaxation. To further satisfy the desires of the children, an outdoor playground is planned for July 2021.
The hotel’s restaurants delighted us with the flavour of the dishes and the warmth of the staff! My children were greeted with a smile and a kind word at every meal and in every restaurant; it may be a detail but it made a big impression on them and they were delighted. Special mention to the children’s menu! Wide choice, healthy options, varied flavours… this menu aimed at toddlers is a far cry from the traditional nuggets/fries and it’s really appreciable!
Despite the rather posh feel of the two restaurants – one located under the pine trees, the other overlooking the sea – families can go there without fear. We never felt uncomfortable and many families were present during our stay. As well as offering food to suit their tastes, the hotel’s restaurants have extensive areas around them for children to play while their parents finish their meal. Even with my head scratching, it is impossible to find a negative… from the taste of the food, to the impeccable service on the beach, to the simply delicious breakfast, everything was perfect!
My family and I loved our stay at the Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa. Chic and relaxed, family friendly, the hotel is a real cocoon of calm that you don’t want to leave (which is rare enough to be highlighted). Add to this a staff that takes care of you without being insistent, an absolutely delicious cuisine and a very safe environment for children (beach protected from jellyfish in particular) and you get a Corsican holiday home atmosphere that will seduce you as it did us.

If the Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa is particularly suitable for family stays, it is largely thanks to the children's welcome! As soon as they arrive, your children will enjoy many privileges: welcome gifts, toys left at their disposal on the beach...
The hotel also provides parents with a wide range of childcare facilities to facilitate the stay of the little ones, such as high chairs, baby cots, adapted bathtubs, baby phones and even special bins for nappies. A high quality baby-sitting service is also available for parents who wish to have a moment (or even a day) alone or with friends.
Finally, every year, from 19th to 26th October, All Saints' Day is celebrated at Cala Rossa. The ritual has remained unchanged for 30 years. For a week, the hotel rolls out the red carpet for your darling children aged 4 years and over. A specialised team organises games, fun workshops and outdoor activities for children. On the programme: hiking, kayaking, bowling, tree climbing, go-karting, picnics and many other surprises!
At Little Guest we believe that holidays are also about strengthening family ties, and what better way to do this than with activities to do together? Well aware of this, the Grand Hotel de Cala Rossa offers you a wide range of activities such as diving, paddling, canoeing, kayaking, tennis or horse riding! You can even try your hand at water-skiing or sailing, subject to prior reservation.
Little Guest recommends a visit to the hotel's vegetable garden. Designed by landscape architect Philippe Niez, this garden will awaken all your senses. Surrounded by mimosas and tamarisk trees, lavender and fig trees rub shoulders with aromatic herbs, tomatoes, aubergines, rockets and snow peas, but also turmeric, ginger, Sichuan pepper, citrons, kumquats, Buddha hand lemons, etc.
In addition to its breathtaking beaches, southern Corsica offers landscapes as surprising as they are fascinating. Forests, needles, cliffs, typical villages... a breathtaking spectacle awaits you. Don't hesitate to be inspired by the following ideas:
Finally, you should know that Anna, the hotel's small boat, leaves the hotel's pontoon every day for a trip out to sea. If you wish, you can privatize it at lunchtime for sunny family picnics.
Because parents too need leisure activities, the Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa has created, just for them, a space dedicated to calm and relaxation: the Spa by Nucca. Both intimate and luminous, it houses, on 500 sqm, 7 treatment rooms built in rows along tree-lined patios, a nail salon, a Léonor Greyl & VP hairdressing salon, a herbal tea room, a swimming pool with underwater music and a sauna.
Always with a view to your well-being, the hotel offers various sports classes adapted to all levels: stretching, aquagym, yoga or Nordic walking will allow you to take care of yourself while offering you a relaxing break.
Golf lovers can rest assured that the hotel is located just a few minutes away from two absolutely sublime courses: the Sperone Golf Course, facing the Lavezzi Islands and Sardinia, and the brand new Murtoli Golf Links, the latest creation of Kyle Philipps, set between sea and mountains.
At the Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa, the dishes are composed with 4 hands; those of Chef Pascal Cayeux and his second, Sébastien Chauchat. Forming an accomplice, creative and talented duo, they invent delicious recipes with Mediterranean flavours every day as they pick their morning picks in the hotel’s vegetable garden. The hotel houses two restaurants with a credo: authenticity, seasonality and simplicity:
