Located in the western part of the Czech Republic, 1h25 from Prague, 3h from Munich and 15mins from the local airport, the Hotel Imperial nestles in the heart of the famous spa town of Karlovy Vary.

DESCRIPTION

Built in 1912, the Hotel Imperial quickly became a landmark for many personalities from all over Europe and much further afield.

Purchased in the 1990s, the hotel was completely renovated in order to restore the glamor and atmosphere that made it a success during its golden age.

This major work has enabled the historic hotel to win the World Travel Award and the Czech Republic’s Leading Spa Resort for several years.

The Hotel Imperial offers 205 rooms and suites, 2 restaurants, a café, a bar, a spa, a sports centre (including a fitness room, 2 dance studios, 4 tennis and squash courts), 1 indoor pool, 1 beauty salon and ample parking.

All rooms offer free Wi-Fi, minibars and satellite TV channels. For the comfort of guests, cosmetics (for children and adults), slippers and bathrobes are offered in all rooms and suites.

Exclusive services are offered: 24/7 room service, valet parking, housekeeping twice a day with evening bed spreading, a limousine as well as private jet service, etc.

In order to feel at home, the Hotel Imperial offers its guests spacious rooms, usually with a balcony and a lounge, ideal for children. In this same spirit, pets are welcome.

Moreover, so that families can enjoy an experience of absolute comfort, some rooms and suites of the establishment are connected. Thus, parents and children will have their own space while being next door to each other.

Among the 6 different housing options are:

Superior Rooms: these 40 sqm (430 sqft) rooms consist of a seating area and a sleeping area. The bedding is very comfortable. A baby cot or another bed can be added to the room.

Suites: with a surface area of ​​47 sqm (505 sqft), these suites are spacious, composed of a double room with living room (a 3rd bed is available on request) and a bathroom with a bath-tub and a double basin.

Superior Suites: the Imperial Hotel has three Superior Suites. These 58 sqm (654 sqft) rooms offer their occupants additional luxury, namely a double room including a living room and a bathroom including a shower, a bathtub, a double sink and two toilets.

Deluxe Suites: with a total area of ​​165 sqm (1776 sqft), the Deluxe Suites are the most luxurious. They have the same features as the Superior Suites, but also offer a private sitting area and an independent kitchen (very useful for preparing children’s meals). The bathroom has a Jacuzzi-style bubble bath, a spacious shower and a double sink.

 

GASTRONOMY

The hotel offers different styles of cuisine. Any food allergies will be taken into account.

Restaurant Prague is a restaurant-buffet offering a wide variety of dishes, in a relaxed atmosphere where guests can observe the chefs at work thanks to the open kitchen.

The Restaurant Paris proposes refined dishes, served “à la carte”, which will appeal to gourmets eager for Czech and also international creations.

Café Vienna is a classic venue with a spacious terrace, where children can play a giant chess game, while Mom and Dad enjoy a delicious coffee while listening to live music.

The Imperial Club welcomes its guests later in the night, to satisfy any puckishness or thirst. This bar displays an English, classical and elegant style. Equipped with a long and beautiful bar, it offers foods and guests will have the opportunity to dance or to talk around a cocktail. Every Friday, the hotel organizes a jazz evening with talented groups.

Many activities are offered, so that the children will have as much fun as the parents.

Tennis courts: open-air tennis courts and racquets are accessible to children throughout the year, with or without a teacher.

Outside excursions: the concierge has many activities for the children to discover the region, and also to enjoy sports. These include a zoo, adventure parks, water parks and the Dino park.

The garden: due to its large size, it allows children to spend very enjoyable days.

The spa: the Imperial Hotel places great importance on children’s health. This is why they have treatments and massages available exclusively for them. The goal is to help them relax, strengthen their natural defences, or help them heal their posture, for a harmonious physical development. At any time, parents can ask for assistance from one of the therapists of the wellness centre. In total, no fewer than 13 treatments are offered to children, from the age of 4 years, and all in a secure setting, thanks to a lifeguard and the doctors present on the spot.

Finally, in order to meet any demand, there are also available on-site: high chairs, car seats, connected rooms, babysitters, games and books, cots, and products cosmetics adapted for children.

 

EXPERIENCES

Nordic walking: nestled in the heart of the forest, the Hotel Imperial turns out to be the ideal place for nature lovers. Nordic walking is the ideal way to discover the region. In addition, the city of Karlovy Vary has set up numerous games along the walking paths, to allow the whole family to discover nature, and also the animals that live there.

Monkey Park: an original activity that’s accessible to all, rope-climbing will take visitors to the heights of the village, to enjoy a breathtaking view. Not far from here, you can also discover the House of Butterflies and a very nice zoo.

Loket Castle: 10km from the Imperial Hotel, this impressive 12th century building will take you through the history and 12th century Gothic style.

The ski resort Klínovec: situated not far from the German border and only 15 km from the hotel, the largest ski resort of the Krušné hory Mountains is the ideal destination for a winter holiday in beautiful nature. Simply choose from several different difficulty tracks to enjoy a fantastic descent.

Hot springs: if you go to Karlovary Vary you cannot miss the geyser “Vřídlo”, symbol of the spa town, whose water temperature is 72 ° C! These miracle waters have a double curative effect: exterior and interior. The exterior effect is used for baths, inside for drinking water and for inhalations.

Canoeing Czech rivers and streams are renowned for offering an endless supply of opportunities for nautical tourism. The Ohře river, located at the foot of the Imperial Hotel and whose waters are constantly hot, is the ideal place for canoeing or kayaking.

The Karlovy Vary region offers many activities during which Dad and Mom can meet and recharge, while a babysitter takes care of the children.

Among these activities, there is of course the spa and the wellness centre in the Hotel Imperial, which offers high quality medical and wellness treatments.

The western region of the Czech Republic is also a golfer’s paradise. The city has a public golf course accessible to all and has, a few kilometres from the hotel, the oldest Czech golf course with breathtaking style. There are 6 other golf courses in the surrounding area.
