Since 1861, the Beau-Rivage Palace has stood proudly facing the Alps on the Swiss shores of Lake Geneva. Nestled in the port district of Ouchy, the hotel is located just 10 minutes from the city centre of Lausanne.
The international airports of Geneva and Zürich are respectively 40 minutes and 2 hours by car. From Paris, 3h40 by train is enough to reach the hotel.
Nominated “Best City Resort”, the Beau-Rivage is part of an exclusive circle of the most beautiful palaces in Europe. Over the centuries, many legendary guests have stayed here: Nelson Mandela, Coco Chanel, Charlie Chaplin… Between tradition and modernity, the hotel is constantly reinventing itself.
The architecture of the establishment is both classic and unique. The two main buildings are interconnected by La Rotonde, built in 1908, which brings a particular character to the whole. Pierre-Yves Rochon, a famous French architect, took charge of the interior decoration of the premises to create a bright and luxurious atmosphere where large windows and mirrors rub shoulders with the reflections of the lake.
Beau-Rivage has 168 rooms and suites, 6 restaurants and bars, 1 large car park, 2 tennis courts, 1 indoor and outdoor pool, 1 spa and 1 gym.
The 11 banquet and conference rooms can accommodate from 10 to 600 people. A limousine service is available on request and a luxury boutique offers leather goods, jewellery and porcelain, as well as souvenirs.
The hotel offers 168 rooms including 26 junior suites and 8 executive suites. All have recently been renovated and are equipped with the latest technology. Facing Lake Geneva or the gardens, the rooms are distinguished by their refinement, comfort and generous size. Bulgari Tea Red cosmetics are complimentary in each room. Many options for connecting rooms are available for families. By staying in a suite, you will enjoy benefits such as a governess and the prioritizing of your reservations at the spa and in the hotel’s restaurants.
The Junior Suites are 65 to 75 sqm (700 – 807 sqft) in size and feature a sitting area and a luxurious bathroom with bathtub. Ideal for families, the Duplex Suite offers two floors and two separate bedrooms to ensure comfort and privacy for everyone. The Lavaux Suite has the only roof terrace of the hotel with private access. With an area of 300 sqm (3230 sqft) this exclusive suite will delight the whole family with its 3 bedrooms, kitchen and private sauna.
Beau-Rivage Palace attaches particular importance to gastronomy. Gourmets will appreciate the refined cuisine of the two Michelin-star restaurant Anne-Sophie Pic at Beau-Rivage Palace. Café Beau-Rivage is a luxury brasserie, known for its majestic terrace facing the lake and its famous beef tartare. The Miyako Lausanne offers traditional Japanese cuisine in a contemporary atmosphere. Do not miss the sushi and sashimis. The Accademia‘s menu is dedicated to the flavours of Italy via classics, with a touch of inventiveness. The BAR is dedicated to the art of cocktails and exceptional spirits. Nec plus ultra: the bottles acquired can be stored in a cabinet designed for this purpose. A cigar cellar and a heated terrace complete the location.
