Location
Nestled in the heart of one of Paris’ most charming districts, Terrass” Hotel unveils its sumptuous modern rooms and amazing designs hidden in a 20th-century building. Being both an artistic cradle and bohemian village, Montmartre has a rich and exciting history.
Formerly a maquis that has become a must-see site, La Butte attracts and inspires artists from around the world such as Renoir and Van Gogh from the end of the 19th century, who contributed to Montemartre’s global reputation.
This cultural past is today still visible in this charming district wherein the famous feature film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain, was shot. Therefore, follow in the footsteps of this legendary protagonist and wander through the cobbled streets lined with bistros. Through this path, you will come face to face with the famous Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris (Sacré-Coeur), an iconic monument inspired by Romanesque and Byzantine architecture.
Description
The history of Terrass” Hotel is also very interesting. Since 1911, the Hurand family have been passing on the keys to this luxurious establishment from generation to generation. Edmond Hurand initially built it before his grandson, Jean-Max Hurand, rehabilitated this hotel which finally became the meeting place for artists in the 1950s.
Recently renovated in 2015 by Edmond Hurand’s great-grandson, Romain Binet, and his sisters Marion Laroche and Emilie Arabyan, the premises remain steeped in history but are bathed in the spirit of the moment, thereby offering its guests high-end facility and impeccable service.
Terrass” Hotel offers its little guests:
- 1 restaurant
- 1 bar
- 1 spa
- 1 rooftop
- 1 shop
- 1 babysitting service on request
- Lots of attention reserved for children
Our small animal friends are equally welcomed here!
