The suitcase offers a 25 litres capacity, which is not an insignificant volume to slip all the baby essentials while keeping them at hand, at any time.

With its cabin size (39×50×21 cm) and its light weight (1.8 kg), the luggage is adapted to the tensile force of a 3 year old child, facilitated by a strap. The inside of the suitcase consists of two storage spaces and two crossed and elastic straps, to keep the content motionless and without damage during the trip.

With its rigid polypropylene shell, the Dream Rider is resistant to shocks and humidity. The suitcase has been fully tested to ensure maximum safety for children. For example, your toddler’s fingers are protected by the soft plastic of the suitcase.

The suitcase is equipped with a fixed 2 point lock to ensure that Teddy Bear and the other toys of your little one travel safe.

To travel with the colorful racing engine, two options are available to your child: either the carrier function or the pulling function through the use of straps that convert into straps or shoulder straps.

The Samsonite Dream Rider comes in 6 designs all as adorable as the next. The most popular ones are Toby the tiger and Zeno the zebra. Betty the bee, Polly the purple pony and two Disney models compete for the other steps of the podium.

On Amazon, the Dream Rider has received a majority of positive reviews despite some criticism.

Among them, parents mention the lack of storage space inside the suitcase. The two compartments would lack additional pockets to better organize the different contents of the suitcase (clothes, toys, etc.).

Another criticism concerns the low capacity of the luggage, inexorably reduced to its small size. Indeed, its capacity of 25 liters is not consistent with the average capacity of other suitcases Samsonite cabin luggage, which have a capacity of 35 liters. It is thus not possible to slip all your child’s personal effects into the Dream Rider, but rather baby’s essential that is always good to keep on hand. Some parents therefore perceive the Dream Rider as a superfluous baggage that may clutter them during their trip.

A final point highlighted by unhappy parents is the surprise that the Dream Rider is not suitable for children of all ages. Indeed, beyond the age of 8, the children’s knees are too high to ensure the carrying function of the luggage. Parents are advised to turn to the « Happy Sammies » backpacks, which are more suitable for pre-teens.

The Dream Rider’s strong points:

  •  Colourful and fun design
  •  The sturdiness of the luggage
  •  The light weight of the product

Points to improve:

  •  The number of compartments
  •  The low capacity
  •  The safeness of closures
