Resting and sharing at Octant Vila Monte

It only took me one night at the Octant Vila Monte **** to fall under the spell of this simply gorgeous hotel! I have to admit that I would have liked to stay longer… But this allowed me to confirm our choice to include this exceptional location in our catalog. A absolute favorite !

What seduced me the most was the bucolic and family atmosphere of the place. The decoration and architecture of the Vila Monte, which largely influence the general atmosphere, are delicately integrated into the green setting in which the hotel is established.

The estate is divided into two parts. The first is reserved for the adults, while the second is dedicated to families with children. The latter offers accommodations that are perfectly adapted to families, as well as a magnificient swimming pool around which the laughter of children can be heard. If this one is great to spend time together, the first pool, adult only, is great to spend a moment alone or in duo when the babies are having a nap or when the kids are playing in the garden… which we did by the way!

During the summer months, from July to August, the hotel organizes an outdoors seasonal kids’ club, under the olive trees. There is no indoor room dedicated to children, but the weather is so good in Portugal that it would be unnecessary. The area is equipped with games and facilities for this purpose – bouncy castles, toys, etc.. – and animated by monitors.

An activity program is set up to entertain the little ones from 3 years old. I had the chance to meet the hotel manager who informed me that the minimum age of 3 years is indicative, as younger children under this age are also welcome as long as they are potty trained and willing to stay, even for just an hour.

During the rest of the year, the team offers a different program of free daily activities. However, parents must reserve these in advance for their child(ren) in order to facilitate the internal organization.

Our favorite family spot? The huge garden, no doubt about it! The forect green and deliciously fragrant landscape houses two ponds, as well as XXL hammocks and a slide for the children.

In addition to the setting and the family activities, which deserve a big 10/10, it is the restaurant and the beautiful room that charmed us.

The restaurant À Terra is so nice! At your convenience, it is possible to have lunch and dinner inside or outside, always under the olive trees. In the evening, the terrace is illuminated by garlands of lights, which gives the place an intimate and relaxing atmosphere.

Finally, about the rooms, one thing is for sure: the comfort is outstanding! I didn’t have the chance to visit many of them because the hotel was full (not surprising!) but the ones I could see, and the one in which we slept, were simply superb! The decor, the facilities, everything is sumptuous and luxurious.

In conclusion, I can say with great conviction that this hotel will please all families who book their stay here. The intimate setting, the bright rooms and the huge garden make this location an inimitable bubble of comfort and relaxation.
