A dream stay at Verdura Golf & Spa Resort

At the beginning of September, I visited the Verdura Golf Spa Resort ***** to make sure that it met the strict criteria established by the Little Guest label. I am happy to be able to share with you my experience at this Resort which, I am sure, will inevitably make some of you dream of Sicily.

Welcome to the Sicilian countryside

After a flight of only 2.5 hours from Brussels to Palermo, I headed to the train station of the Sicilian capital for a train journey to the city of Agrigento.

Although this trip went very well, I strongly advise you to opt for a rental car in order to be able to travel freely in this rather remote corner of the rest of Italy.

As agreed, a driver was waiting for me in Agrigento to take me to my destination. I very much appreciated this personal welcome and the journey on the small Sicilian country roads, which was enough to plunge me straight into « holiday » mode.

A lovely room

During my stay, I was lucky enough to stay in a superb Junior Suite with a sea view. This 60 m² and fully equipped room is truly the ideal option for couples accompanied by a child or a baby. 

Larger families have the possibility to connect a Junior Suite with a Deluxe Room.

I particularly appreciated the room’s furnished terrace, where I could enjoy a wonderful sunset over the Mediterranean Sea and the golf course .

Yes, as you probably guessed from its name, the Verdura Golf Spa Resort is a true golfer’s paradise. Swingers can enjoy the 9- and 18-hole courses, while waiting for the construction of a brand new 18-hole course to be inaugurated in 2021.

A real paradise for children

At Little Guest, we pay special attention to the kids-friendly elements present in our partner hotels. At the time of my visit, most of the kids facilities were unfortunately closed due to the measures taken against the spread of Covid-19. However, I was able to visit the installations available, such as the kids-club’s playground and swimming pool, which are perfect for welcoming and entertaining young guests.

A group of children were present at the hotel and seemed to have a lot of fun thanks to the animator who was looking after them. 

To conclude

In conclusion, I can now guarantee that the Verdura Golf Spa Resort is the ideal place for families looking for complete peace and relaxation by the sea.

And if, on top of that, you are a golf lover, you can definitely go there with your eyes closed!
