31 May 2019
Freedom and independence are the key words of car travel! Little Guest has selected the most beautiful cars to swallow the kilometers and reach your family holiday destination in the best conditions. Big trunk space, rear screens to keep small passengers occupied during trips, driving assistance and luxurious finishes are among the essential assets to make each trip as comfortable as possible.
Audi RS4 break
Comfort and power without compromise
A station wagon is the ideal car to take the road with your family. The generous trunk can accommodate the luggage of the entire tribe and the driving comfort is similar to that of a sedan. Audi delivers, with its RS version, a family car with outstanding performance. It’s the perfect ally to climb the Alpine passes in complete safety and join the Royal Evian Hotel in style. Nestled on a hillside, the hotel offers a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva. Known and recognized for its spa facilities, the city of Evian is a prime destination for families to relax. The Royal Evian spa is no exception to this rule: designed by La Prairie, it allows young and old alike to access VIP treatments.
BMW 6 Series
The ultimate road car
Sedan means comfort on the road and BMW hits hard on the 6 Series Gran Turismo. Sports enthusiasts choose the version equipped with a 340-horsepower 6-cylinder in-line engine, the Bavarian manufacturer’s flagship. Children are never bored thanks to the two screens in the headrests and the on-board wifi router. Its pure lines make it the ideal car to stroll along the Croisette before relaxing at the La Bastide de Biot ****.
Safety at all times
The Volvo XC90 is a safety must: it features the latest driving assistance technologies and an impressive number of airbags. Good news for big families: a 7-seater version is available! Enough to take the whole tribe to the Maslina Resort, a luxurious Croatian hotel with a refined modern decoration. High-end accommodation is a must for design fans: noble materials blend with ultra-contemporary works of art. This architectural jewel rests on a peninsula and offers a breathtaking view of the magnificent bay of Maslinica.
The zero-emission SUV
The Tesla SUV seduces environmentally conscious families with its modern curves and 100% electric powertrain. Its generous autonomy allows you to reach one of the many hotels with Tesla charging stations, such as the Royal Riviera in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, in silence and with style. Nestled in the heart of a 2 hectare Mediterranean greenery, the establishment is one of the few on the Côte d’Azur to have a private beach. The calm and authenticity of the area make it a destination of choice for families who love the sun and idleness. Children are entitled to VIP treatment: welcome gifts, menus adapted in the hotel restaurant and creative activities are exclusively reserved for them.
Luxury at the service of adventurers
Hunting and fishing enthusiasts turn to the Bentley Bentayga, this luxurious off-roader comes with an optional trunk layout that allows nature lovers to enjoy their passion: rifle racks or cabinets with fishing rods and hooks, everything is done to enjoy your hobbies in refined luxury and join Ashford Castle, a magnificent Irish castle, voted the best hotel in the United Kingdom in 2016 and which offers gentlemen the opportunity to learn about clays shooting, cigar and wine tasting and practice golf on an exceptional course. The castle unrolls the red carpet for its little guests: pony rides, treasure hunting, falcon training and archery are some of the many activities on offer. There’s no way to get bored at Ashford Castle.
Last tips before you hit the road
- In case of maintenance just before going on the road to the sun, don’t forget to make an appointment with your mechanical service provider well in advance, they are often overbooked during the holiday period.
- Remember to check the cold tire pressure and vehicle fluids (oil, brakes, cooling and windshield washer).
- Check if all official documents are in the vehicle and if any stickers corresponding to the countries crossed are up to date.
- Have the air conditioning checked. There’s nothing worse than being stuck in a blazing sun with no fresh air.
- Don’t forget to take a break every two hours, for you and your little ones who take the opportunity to stretch their legs.
- Check that you have not forgotten anything thanks to our travel checklists.
