Located in the centre of the chic German spa town of Baden-Baden, the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa ***** is a true urban oasis. Conveniently located in the heart of a private park facing the famous Lichtentaler Allee, this upscale establishment harmoniously combines tradition, elegance and tailor-made services.
Its exceptional geographical position in the heart of the Black Forest National Park makes it the perfect destination for a romantic getaway or a family city trip. Baden-Baden is known for its resort, luxury boutiques and one of the world’s most renowned health resorts, and is ideally located just a stone’s throw from the French border and only a few kilometres from Switzerland.
This extraordinary hotel is only 6 km (12 minutes) from Baden-Baden railway station and 18 km (20 minutes) from Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport. It is also easily accessible from France. Transfers are available to and from the airport and train station as well as from Strasbourg, Frankfurt or Stuttgart.
Since 1872, the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa has been the preferred place of relaxation for the elite of travellers. Over the years, the hotel has welcomed numerous dignitaries from all over the world: the Shah of Persia, the King of Siam or Monarch Edward VII. Today, statesmen and presidents like to stay here when they visit Baden-Baden.
Period furniture, enchanting decoration, top-class gastronomy – everything is done to make guests feel like kings. Harmoniously mixing tradition and modernity, the hotel has managed to preserve its authenticity while adapting to the ever more demanding needs of holidaymakers. For example, French is spoken here, as it is in the rest of the city.
With its 103 rooms, suites and villas, the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa offers an incredible quality of accommodation under the sign of luxury and comfort. The hotel provides its guests with a wide range of facilities and services:
Pets are accepted and even pampered at the hotel. Dog-sitters, menus specially designed for them… they won’t lack anything!

At the end of August, me, my wife and our son spent 3 nights at the famous Brenners Hotel. Here is the report of our stay, which I hope will also make you want to discover this beautiful address.
Just before the start of the school year in September, we wanted to enjoy a few last days of rest in a bucolic setting close to home. The spa town of Baden-Baden met all the requirements. In addition, we were planning to change cars and I had managed to convince my Volvo dealer to lend us the Volvo XC 90 for the weekend to test drive it. So, we drove the 450 km from our home to the hotel in this luxury family model.
When you stay at the Brenners, you find yourself in the heart of Baden-Baden and you don’t need a car to visit the city. Nevertheless, having a car on site is convenient (if you decide to park your car at the hotel, it will cost you €26/day) to drive along the winding roads leading to the nearby famous Black Forest. During our stay, we also travelled these roads to go tobogganing in the summer and then have a picnic at Lake Mummel. An excursion that was recommended to us by the hotel concierge and that I would recommend to you as well!
The Brenners Park Hotel is a mythical place. It is the most beautiful hotel in the city and one of the most prestigious palaces in Germany. Nevertheless, children here are not looked down on when they are having fun running around in the lobby or bickering in the restaurant. It’s quite the opposite: everything is done to make their stay perfect.
When we arrived in our suite, delicious homemade cookies and a bottle of homemade apple juice had been prepared for our son. We stayed in a very spacious 60 sqm Junior Suite. Our son slept in a single bed in the living room. A precious fabric curtain separated the parents’ bedroom from the living room. The suite consisted of a long corridor, a huge dressing room and a large bathroom. It also featured a terrace offering a beautiful view on Baden-Baden’s park. At nightfall, electric shutters allowed us to plunge the room into darkness. This suite was really perfect for the three of us. We could even have stayed there with an extra child as the space was so generous and well thought out.
A repertoire of kids-friendly tips had been left in our room before our arrival. An original initiative to easily discover the best playgrounds in the neighbourhood, but also the contact details of the best toy shops and trusted pediatricians.
During our stay, the hotel’s kids-club was closed for renovations, but the concierge had prepared a list of activities specially adapted to our five-year-old son: a guided tour of the museum of contemporary art with a children’s workshop, a ride in a vintage van and a picnic in the mountains, or a popcorn party. This last activity was really great. The hotel provided us with a small projection room for one evening and had prepared popcorn and sweets for Achille. We even had dinner in this private room, using room service.
The next day, while it was raining, our son was invited to participate in a baking workshop in the Brenners’ kitchens. He had fun making the same cookies that he had received in his room and was very proud of his creations.
The indoor swimming pool is very large. The children can use it all day long and during certain times of the day they can even go crazy! It is the famous « splash time » (to be booked in advance). Jump in the water, splash around, have fun with the water games at their disposal… everything is allowed!
Our son also enjoyed cuddling Kleopatre, the hotel’s angora cat who likes to walk the corridors (but is not allowed in the restaurants).
On the spot, Achille made friends. They often played pool together, when they were not exploiting the many hiding places in the hotel park.
In Baden-Baden you feel a little bit out of time. Many of the streets in the city centre are pedestrianised and you can meet people going to the thermal baths, regulars and people who come here to recharge their batteries. This is the perfect setting for a slow life weekend.
The Brenners has an exceptional spa. We didn’t test the massages but we really enjoyed our sauna sessions in a very elegant setting. The gym is also beautiful and very well equipped.
The hotel features 3 restaurants. I particularly recommend you to taste the meat from the Fritz & Felix restaurant, cooked to perfection in an impressive barbecue protected by a large bay window in the tasting room.
The afternoon tea, served under the elegant glass roof of the Wintergarten restaurant, is also worth a visit.
If you like to discover mythical hotels and are in need of peace and quiet, the Brenners is really for you! We will long remember our perfect stay here.
Have a nice holiday at Brenners!

While the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa promises a luxury stay for adults, it does not neglect children, far from it. They might get lucky enough to be welcomed by Kléopatre, the hotel's Burmese cat, who has become a real mascot over the years.
Every day, from 10am to noon and then from 2pm to 4pm, toddlers aged between 3 and 12 years old can go to the hotel's kids-club. Set up in a colourful room full of books, games and multimedia entertainment, it offers many activities such as walks in the park, swimming sessions in the pool or a backstage tour of the hotel so that your little ones can discover all its secrets.
The Lichtentaler Allee, perfect for introducing children to the beauty of German nature, is directly accessible from the hotel. Offering a breathtaking view of the period villas along the way, this 3 km long promenade is ideal for taking a breath of fresh air just a few steps from the city centre.
Lake Mummel, located in the heart of the Black Forest, provides a great breath of fresh air just a few kilometres from the hotel. Surrounded by beautiful snow-covered trees in the winter and ideal for pedal boat rides or swimming in the summer, it is the perfect place for your children to get away from it all.
The Black Forest is the ideal place for family activities such as rock climbing, fishing, canyoning, tree climbing, paragliding, running and cycling (the hotel offers bike rentals), among others! In winter, it is also possible to ski, as the slopes are only 20 minutes away from the hotel!
Nothing beats a family outing to the old town of Baden-Baden. Stroll through the picturesque lanes of the town and discover a villa with Baroque influence, a wonderful gallery... let your desires be your guide. Far from the luxury boutiques, the old town is home to many exceptional sites, do not hesitate to go there.
The thermal baths of Caracalla, spread over 4,000 sqm, feature two circular swimming pools and a magnificent central fountain. Fueled by 12 natural hot springs (69 °C) that flow under the Florentiner mountain, the spa offers hot and cold rock caves, whirlpools, several pools, saunas and numerous water jets. Children will love to jump in the water and experience the benefits of the spa treatment.
The Brenners has a fleet of classic cars at your disposal to visit the surrounding area! Accompanied by a driver, you will be able to discover the region, comfortably installed in a VW Samba minibus (250€ per hour for 6 people) or a vintage VW Beetle (180€ per hour for 4 people).
When they feel the need, parents can entrust their children to the hotel's super babysitting service to take advantage of the exceptional services available to them.
The hotel's spa offers an approach based on four areas: beauty, treatments, emotional balance and nutrition. Within its 5,000 sqm, you can enjoy the various saunas, hammam and other treatment rooms without worrying about anything else but your well-being. Recharge your batteries with a personal coach or relax in the expert hands of the massage team; in terms of relaxation, the Brenners has no equal.
If peace and quiet is the key to well-being, sport can also be a good way to recharge your batteries. Make the most of the hotel's well-equipped fitness room and its group sessions and personalised courses. The Baden-Baden golf course, only a few minutes away from the hotel, is also perfect for sports-minded parents.
After a good workout and well-deserved relaxation at the spa, why not end the day at the opera house? Known throughout Germany, the Baden-Baden Festspielhaus is the country's largest opera house. The Brenners is proud to offer four thematic guided tours of this German monument, don't hesitate to ask about it!
The Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa features 3 restaurants and 2 bars.
Fritz & Felix, the gastronomic Mecca of Baden-Baden, caters to a local and international clientele with its modern and urban style and a cuisine that is as authentic and aromatic as it is original. Regional dishes combined with influences from all over the world offer surprisingly new combinations and delicious taste creations. It also has a popular bar.
The Wintergarten‘s menu is based on Mediterranean recipes using local and seasonal ingredients such as Black Forest trout and golden chanterelle mushrooms. This charming, sun-drenched restaurant offers a breathtaking view on the hotel grounds. Perfect for a candlelit dinner or a happy family lunch.
The Rive Gauche Brasserie offers a culinary journey through France. Salmon rillettes, entrecote, crème brûlée… classic brasserie dishes are served in a dream setting: the floor-to-ceiling glass walls offer an incredible view of the trees along the Lichtentaler Allee.
Named after the legendary stallion of Baron Schlenderhan’s stud farm, the Oleander Bar is a special meeting place. Local residents and hotel guests alike gather in this cosy bar for a glass of wine or a cocktail, lulled by the piano tunes escaping from the adjacent Kaminhalle every evening.
Finally, don’t forget that the hotel offers many tailor-made services to meet your every need: 24-hour room service, breakfast on the terrace, English afternoon tea, and more.
