Our family weekend at hotel Royal Evian

Spring is a season that my family and I enjoy very much. Contemplation of the blooming flowers, aperitifs and relaxation on the terrace, and energetic walks, this is the promise of our trip to the Hotel Royal Evian. The girls are impatient. My husband is ready to leave. Let’s go to the spa town!

As soon as we passed the last security gates that separated us from the Arrivals Hall at Geneva Airport, a smiling and elegant private chauffeur unloaded us from our luggage. When traveling with three children, such a service is always appreciated. A few minutes later, we were comfortably settled in a high-end vehicle, where a few bottles of Evian water are carefully arranged. For nearly an hour, we take a very pleasant route through charming small villages that are typical of the French-Swiss border. Let the holidays begin!

Here we are in front of the establishment. We are dazzled by the beauty of the reception and the abundance of light. The hotel, which carries the distinction of « Palace », was renovated in 2015. Its decorations are clearly up to its reputation. The hotel also has a beautiful terrace with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The estate is vast and nature reigns supreme on the property. Enjoying such a green space is definitely a must when traveling with children. My daughters are happy to let off steam on the lawn, time to check in and go to our room. The establishment has 1,001 recipes based on fruits and vegetables of season, every weekend, after our walk to the organic market.

The hotel may seem very big but no matter where you are, you keep that feeling of being at home, in a cocoon of comfort and security. The staff is very friendly, so smiling, and above all, more than attentive to the kids. It is a pleasure to see them conversing with ease. The exchanges are gentle, caring and extremely courteous. Here, my daughters are princesses and they understand it. Here we are in our family suite. Our new living space is exceptional. Large beds, a contemporary decoration at the same time luxurious and comfortable, a living room and a bathroom with the space arranged for a large family like ours. Our suite faces the lake. The dream ! Everything is perfect ! Our little Laura is spoiled. The baby-phone and the bottle warmer that we booked in advance with our travel consultant Little Guest are available in our room.

With the girls, we dine at the outdoor terrace of the restaurant « La Véranda ». Comfortable and elegant, the place offers tasty world cuisine. The plates arrive, the eyes widen, our cheeks move, smiles are displayed: we enjoy! We are already planning to have breakfast tomorrow morning to let the girls play in the garden between two services. We also think about booking a babysitter for the evening, with the idea of ​​tasting one of the signature dishes of the Michelin starred restaurant « Les Fresques ». A tête-à-tête in this unique setting does not disappoint!

At the Evian Royal, children enjoy their own entertainment space. It is a mini resort located in the park of the domain, 30 meters from the forecourt of the hotel. Girls spend refreshing days indoors or outdoors. This morning, we are walking in the woods with my husband when we see the girls and their playmates playing what looks like a treasure hunt. They come to kiss us and announce that tomorrow they will enjoy the pools before attending a private concert. The kids club knows how to please children of all ages. My daughters seem so happy with the activities organized within the kids club and as a parent, it’s a real pleasure to see them so happy.

Toddlers like Laura also have their own play area. Supervised by early childhood professionals, the baby-resort is a completely secure place and very pleasant to visit. We stay there for a few minutes, moved by the joy and talent of our little Laura for the art of painting. Impressed, the host congratulates her. Laura looks proud and laughs loudly. Happy times…

Accompanied by my husband, I take advantage of the spa facilities and reserve a couple of massages for this afternoon. We spend a pleasant moment in this place that invites you to relax and share a well-being experience. We learn that kids are welcome at the spa. A nice proposal for families although, since our arrival, our daughters prefer the company of their peers from the kids club to ours. After all, it’s holidays and everyone has the right to do what they like, right ?!

Our stay at the hotel Royal Evian is over without a single false note. From our welcome to children’s activities, to gastronomy and the facilities dedicated to parents, everything was perfect. We will be back soon to this luxurious family cocoon!
