Relaxation and farniente at Eden Roc Cap Cana, Punta Cana

Last March, I let myself be tempted by a stay under the sun of Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic. After a stay at the Tortuga Bay Hotel, here is the story of the few days I spent at the Eden Roc Cap Cana with my partner.

When we left the airport, the Chevrolet that was waiting for us took only a few minutes to take us to our destination. Getting to the Eden Roc is very simple, as it is located just a few minutes’ drive from the airport, in the very exclusive area of Cap Cana. Practical for families travelling with children. The real bonus: the free return transfer.

On arrival, our luggage was immediately taken care of by the luggage handler. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and the villa manager who brought us two cold drinks and two towels to refresh us. A nice touch!

As we arrived 2 hours before check-in, we were introduced to our concierge Bayron so that he could show us around the property. By the time our accommodation was ready, he showed us the way to the beach, the restaurant, the bar and the pools so we could enjoy the hotel’s services and wait comfortably for check-in. We stayed near the pool bar, the pool is very large and overlooks the beach, it is beautiful. We were not in a hurry to check in as we were enjoying a rest on our sun loungers!

Now, let’s go to our room! We discover a beautiful, generously sized suite with a garden and a superb private pool. A bottle of sparkling wine was waiting for us as a gift, perfect to toast our holiday! We were pleasantly surprised to find that we also had our own golf cart to get around the hotel easily. We were often torn between staying in the comfort of our suite or enjoying the surroundings! This is a 10/10 for the accommodation!

As we drove around Eden Roc, we found that there are several accommodation areas, including the villa section which is great for families. There is a kids club in the shape of a house on stilts surrounded by a huge pool where children can learn to kayak. The area is very safe and the entertainers are friendly. There is also a spa and beauty treatments for them inside. Another kids’ club is located next to the main pool and can accommodate about 10 children.

One of the good things is that no matter where we were located in the resort, there are always facilities nearby.

We ate very well during our stay, the Japanese menu in the main restaurant still makes my mouth water! I highly recommend it; it is just amazing. The breakfast was also excellent, everything was fresh with a buffet part and an a la carte part.

The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. Again, a no-fail on this side!

During our stay, we noticed that many families frequented the restaurants, which have high chairs and child-friendly buffets.

Eden Roc Cap Cana is without doubt one of the most luxurious properties in Cap Cana and Punta Cana. It is perfectly adapted to families thanks to the generous size of the accommodations and the presence of 2 children’s clubs. The golf cart and luxury airport transfer included in the booking made our holiday even more fantastic. Not to mention the impeccable and welcoming staff!

In conclusion, I highly recommend Eden Roc to families and couples alike who want to relax but also have fun. Now it’s time to pack your bags, you won’t be disappointed!
