Repère Sauvage is a hotel and restaurant – and much more besides – that welcomes guests of all ages, from city dwellers to locals, and offers a wide range of activities. The hotel has 16 minimalist rooms in the manor house and 20 eco-friendly lodges designed in collaboration with local craftsmen. The bespoke kids’ club, designed by a professional trained in the Montessori method, was set up to encourage children to explore, learn and thrive in the great outdoors. The estate features a gate, listed as a historic monument, which is a remnant of the former Renaissance castle ‘Le Fort Girard’.

Vegetables, cheeses, fish from the Loire, and fried gudgeon all appear on the menu, which celebrates its region in many ways. Among the house specialties : crispy pike, escargot vol-au-vent, or géline de Touraine (a heritage chicken), as well as sweetbreads and veal kidneys prepared as a “Beuchelle Tourangelle.”
