Delphine, mother of Manon, 10 years, from Alsace (France)
Italy is the quintessential family destination. In addition to its Mediterranean beaches and mythical cities, it’s the green and lush nature of the alpine valleys that has seduced us. My husband and our 10-year-old daughter, Manon, were eagerly awaiting our grand departure for the Mirtillo Rosso Family Hotel, a refined, original and warm hotel where you will quickly feel at home.
As they say, first impressions matter. When we arrived at the Mirtillo, we were immediately welcomed as prestigious guests. A warm and very personalized welcome was given to us, as well as an establishment’s visit and a presentation of the staff. The attentive hotel manager gave us tips and ideas on how to visit the region and make the most of it. On the agenda: nature walks, nautical activities, hikes, visits…
What we really appreciated was the staff’s effort to make us feel comfortable and communicate in French with Manon, who was the star of the day. A gift box filled with surprises was given to her at check-in. The receptionist, always smiling, immediately asked her a series of courteous and polite questions to get to know her, before showing her the kids-club and the activities available for her stay. A program that put stars in her eyes!
After the check-in, we were accompanied to our room. We were staying in the prestigious Family Room. This room on the second floor opens onto a large terrace overlooking the village and the surrounding mountains. A natural and surrealist setting.
Spread over 40 m², the room actually has two bedrooms and a bathroom with a superb shower, slippers and bathrobes for our whole little family, as well as personal care products. A lovely attention!
The parental room is fresh and warm at the same time, as clean as it is comfortable. My husband and I each had 4 pillows and extra blankets, a sign of cozy nights. Two large closets were arranged to store our belongings and set up as if we were at home. The ideal place to store your ski equipment!
Manon slept in her own room, connected to ours by a door. In her bunk bed alone, our little princess felt like she was in an enchanted cabin.
The Spa provided us with a relaxing and refreshing moment, thanks to the swimming pool heated to 34°C, fresh water and herbal teas available in self-service.
My husband and I loved this clean and family space, Manon loved it! In addition to the special care for children, the Spa has perfectly adapted swimming pools and games to pamper and entertain them.
The Mirtillo Rosso restaurant masters the art of refined cuisine! The menus are fresh and varied, the atmosphere is family oriented and the service impeccable.
Children are treated like kings. Attentive staff, colouring place mats, menus adapted to all ages, playgrounds and balanced food, nothing was missing. The special children’s buffet filled Manon with its healthy but delicious products (salmon, chicken, rice, pasta, fresh vegetables, pesto, tomato sauce).
However, adults and their well-being are also honoured: a fine and local cuisine accompanied by wines of the highest quality, all served in very refined dishes.
As soon as she arrived at the kids-club, a secure space with an original decoration, our daughter was warmly welcomed by the three instructors who instantly spotted the new arrival. Once invited to participate in activities, meals and games, the new kids-club’s member quickly became part of the small group of children present at the club.
Every morning, the entertainers spend time at the restaurant tables to present the day’s activities: swimming pool, cooking lessons, theater, a walk with lanterns and farm visits. In the evening, theme evenings are also offered to children (baby dance, blind test, tombola), which gave us the opportunity to take time alone and have a dinner for two.
A stay that exceeds my expectations and I will gladly return for my next family vacation. A family and pleasant atmosphere, thanks in particular to the Mirtillo’s manager, both actor and director of the always very joyful and relaxed ambience!
Tenderly,
Delphine
