Job description

As Head of Online Booking, you will contribute directly to our fabulous growth. You will be responsible for the development of online sales, which are the real accelerator of Little Guest’s exponential growth.

You will be responsible for technical improvements to the online booking tool, hotel connectivity solutions, rate and promotion coding, e-merchandising, and customer relations for online sales. You will work in tandem with the Head of Travel Designers and contribute to the improvement of the customer journey in close collaboration with the Marketing team.

You will manage a friendly team of three people and supervise the functional evolutions of the website in order to improve Little Guest’s online sales and market share, in conjunction with Marketing, the IT/Product department and the Orchestra platform.

You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and will always work closely with all your colleagues in a transversal way according to the tasks and projects that will be assigned to you.

 

Responsibilities

Strategic Tasks

  • Identify areas of improvement and new needs related to the online booking tool
  • Identify and recommend the most appropriate connectivity solutions to ensure 1-click pricing and availability to our visitors
  • Ensure the competitiveness of online offers (benchmark public price)
  • Actively monitor new market opportunities
  • Measuring performance and results with the help of monitoring KPIs
  • Guarantee quality and compliance with a defined set of specifications (must have, do, don’t)
  • Participate in the operational deployment of new internal tools (Zoho, Odoo)

 

Day-to-Day Tasks

  • Ensure the operational follow-up of technical evolutions (ergonomics and functionalities)
  • Check the conformity of the offers (hotel, price, allotment) before loading them
  • Manage online sales (price verification, availability, invoicing) and post-sale with customer relations in conjunction with the Concierge
  • Control the encoding of sales in the online reservation tool (manual loading and connectivity) through the implementation of a specific process

 

Management tasks

  • Manage your team (organization, people, tasks) and make it grow
  • Manage the team’s performance and results in the short, medium and long term
  • Lead, stimulate and support a team of junior project managers and the offshore team
  • Attract and recruit talent in collaboration with the HR department
  • Ensure the empowerment of your team via the HR processes in progress (appraisal, training…)

This list of tasks is not exhaustive and may change depending on the profile of the person sought and/or changes in the company’s structure.

 

Profile

Diploma/credentials/certifications + Required experience (duration, sector, context)

The ideal candidate is a graduate of a business or engineering school and has 5 to 6 years experience in managing an e-commerce platform, if possible in the luxury tourism sector or tourism for a travel agency.

Relevant experience in other sectors will be accepted depending on the profile.

 

Technical Skills – Hard Skills

  • Mastery of common Web tools as well as a series of Orchestra programs, CRM tools (Zoho, Odoo) Google Analytics, Hotjar, Scrapper, Odoo … (evolving list)
  • Knowledge of the Orchestra platform is a plus
  • At ease with computer tools and new technologies
  • Able to synthesize and exploit economic and commercial indicators
  • First experience in team management
  • Knowledge of the upscale hotel industry is desired.

Language skills + expected level

  • Perfect command of spoken and written French
  • Perfect command of spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in one or more other languages is an asset

 

Duration of the contract and remuneration

  • Position to be filled immediately
  • Full-time contract
  • Remuneration based on the candidate’s experience and on the legal scales in force
  • Extra-legal benefits provided for the position according to the company’s policy on the matter
