Our perfect stay at Valle Dell’Erica

In the middle of September, my companion and I headed to Sardinia for a few days of holiday. We stayed 3 nights in the Valle dell’Erica Resort and if one thing is certain, it is that we will go back there without hesitation! I have tried, in a few points, to give you a portrait of our stay.

Upon our arrival, a member of the staff came to meet us and greet us and took us to the reception where a welcome juice was waiting for us. The check-in was done directly on the terrace, which offered an absolutely sublime view of the sea. Alessandro, the member of staff in charge of our reception, took the time to introduce us to the different infrastructures and facilities of the hotel. Kids-club, catering options, activities on offer…he left nothing to chance!

After this impeccable welcome, we were taken to our room without worrying for a second about our luggage, which had been taken care of as soon as we got out of the car.

Another good point was the reactivity of the staff! Indeed, the day we arrived at the hotel; the Italian government had decided to have a COVID-19 test carried out on all tourists entering Sardinia. As this information had just come to light, the hotel arranged to offer tests to all guests arriving that day, free of charge and quickly.

We were staying in a Junior Suite with sea view and we were not disappointed! Spacious and colourful, the suite was decorated in the respect of Sardinian tradition while remaining ultra-modern. Clean, comfortable and offering an extraordinary view of the sea, the room was also furnished with typical Sardinian furniture.

Two things particularly delighted us: the bathroom, freshly renovated, with a shower overlooking the sea; and the welcome gift (a bottle of wine), which we enjoyed on our private balcony.

From an overall point of view, the hotel is impeccable and we were able to verify this in detail during our stay. Everything is done so that guests only have to worry about one thing: enjoying they stay!

Although we didn’t have the opportunity to test the fitness room, we still found it to be well organised and extremely clean; two undeniable advantages at all times but especially at this time of year.

The spa, on the other hand, has been tested and approved! With 4 indoor pools (heated to different temperatures) and 3 outdoor pools (one of which is reserved for children) under the supervision of lifeguards, it offers top-of-the-range services at really reasonable prices. We enjoyed a relaxing 50-minute massage and came out of it totally relaxed.

As we were staying at Valle dell’Erica during the low season, the kids-club wasn’t full of children; however, we found that it was very well signposted, very clean and seemed perfectly safe! Special mention to the pizza corner, perfect for the little ones!

As for the restaurant, the hotel knows how to satisfy everyone’s desires. The breakfast buffet is very complete and the different restaurants are simply delicious! I ate the best pasta of my life here! We tested 4 out of 7 and they all lived up to our expectations. As well as offering Sardinian cuisine based on fresh, local produce, the restaurants all offer a magnificent view of the sea or the surrounding countryside.

In addition to these already very positive points, I noticed that children’s facilities were available just about everywhere: high chairs, adapted menu, special dishes for babies, a buffet adapted to their small size… the hotel has thought of everything and passes the family-friendly test with flying colours!

As you can imagine, we loved our stay at Resort Valle dell’Erica. The quietness of the place, the incredible view of the Maddalena archipelago (which you have to visit at all costs), the authenticity of the hotel and the kindness of the staff earned it a well-deserved 10/10!
