During our stay at the Atrium Prestige, we took advantage of the « dine around » option in our all-inclusive package to have lunch at the Atrium Palace hotel and spend part of the afternoon there. For starters, we enjoyed a seafood salad and scallop carpaccio. For the main course, I opted for linguine with lobster, which was a knockout.
In the morning, we rented a boat without a license on the hotel’s beach, Kalathos beach. I highly recommend you do the same. It’s a truly magical experience to sail along heavenly coves and admire the view of the Acropolis of Lindos, sanctuary of the goddess Athena.
The Atrium Palace hotel is distinguished by its lush vegetation and ultra-complete offering. The freshly renovated rooms are divided into two categories: bungalow-style villas and hotel rooms and suites. The resort is on a human scale.
There are no big concrete buildings here. The decor is fairly classical, often inspired by Greek mythology. The surrounding environment is very calm.
During our short stay, our son convinced us to play a few games of table tennis and billiards. The hotel is really family-friendly. There’s even a free mini golf course. We passed a large shaded paddling pool, ideal for babies, and noticed that the large terraces of the suites were secured with nets, which is reassuring when traveling with young children.
We met families mainly from England, Germany and France. We didn’t have time to try out the spa, but it seemed very welcoming and offers treatments using Thalgo products.
The hotel’s private beach is a beautiful, long beach and very pleasant to relax on.
In my opinion, the Atrium Palace is in a category just below the Atrium Prestige. It’s a first-rate option for families looking for a great vacation in a quality resort, without breaking the bank.
My top tips:
Rent your boat from Kyriakos: Price: €250 per day (excluding fuel – up to 7 people) or €190 per half-day.
Lunch at sea: order your delicious Greek salads to take away from the « Milo’s » restaurant, located 200 meters from the boat rental and owned by the same family.
Cultural visit: visit the traditional village of Lindos, less than 10 minutes away, and climb the steps to the acropolis for a splendid panoramic view!
