A few months after my delivery and our move, we felt the need to escape. The All Saints’ Day holiday was deadly. We spontaneously chose the destination of Morocco. Abundance of light, enchanting scenery, no time difference, only 3 hours flight and pleasant weather, it was all waiting! On the programme of activities: relaxing with the family on the coast of El Jadida.
Unfortunately, the rain did not spare us for half of our stay. And yet, it is very rare that it rains in this region of Morocco. Fortunately, that did not stop us from continuing our dream vacation, as the hotel is full of entertaining family facilities. Every day the kids joined the kids club and the baby club while we enjoyed our room, spa facilities and food courts for meals and afternoon tea. We respected our goal of relaxing in a luxurious and intimate hotel, with 500 rooms.
At first, we thought to get the girls back to the kids club for lunchtime to enjoy time with them in the afternoon, but they clearly did not want us. Once their plates were finished, they counted every minute that separated them from their new playmates. Of course, we let them join the assistants at the kids club, happy to find us a few more hours for love or with our youngest. By the way, we were delighted with the baby club leaders and the care they took of the toddlers. Among them, the manager, Mina, was extraordinary. Nurse at the Mazagan for 15 years, she gave us each day Gaspard’s progress. She is also the one who revealed to us Gaspard’s immeasurable love of the hotel baby food.
Gourmands, gourmets and soul explorers, we tried the 6 restaurants in the hotel. Our favorite address was « La Cave », an intimate and romantic French restaurant. As for the children, they preferred the varied menu of « Le Market » and « Olive » buffet restaurants, where they played with their friends between two courses. A special mention for burritos in the evening and the choice of eggs every morning! We also enjoyed the fish restaurant « Sea Salt » and the « Steak House », located near the golf course. At noon or in the evening, we enjoyed fine cocktails at the beach bar « Buddha ». Finally, the Oasis restaurant overlooking the hotel’s palm-tree pool is ideal for a total change of scenery, inspired by the landscapes of Dubai.
We were still able to enjoy the family activities of the hotel with our girls when they gave us a chance to compete with the kids club. Camel and pony trekking, archery, karting, gardening in the kitchen garden, treasure hunt, initiation to hip-hop (memorable memory) or sandcastle contest, they tested everything and went a lot of fun! I think Thea’s best memory is her birthday party, organized by the kids-club animators, who brought her sister and her new friends together around a beautiful cake before ending up on the runway together of dance.
My husband and I spent many hours at the spa. The masseuses work miracles and the « Voyage au Maroc » treatment (a scrub followed by a clay mask and a massage) is a marvel!
We also experienced the sports activities of the resort such as horse riding, golf, tennis, paddle or kitesurfing. We also spent an evening at the casino. It was a great first experience!
I am deeply convinced that you can stay for two weeks without doing the same thing twice on the same day at the Mazagan. It’s amazing what this resort offers.
We had a great time at the Mazagan. Thank you to Little Guest for the many tips and the beautiful Samsonite Dream Rider children’s suitcase where the girls found goodies a dozen days before we left.
