A quality stay at Les Arcs Panorama

Jérôme, father of Achille, 5 years old, from Bruxelles

At the beginning of July, I had the chance to stay at Les Arcs Panorama for a weekend. Accompanied by my wife and our 5-year-old son, Achille, I wrote down my impressions in order to give you a testimony of my stay.

When we arrived, many friendly and relaxed employees came to greet us. The receptionist even made a few jokes to put my son at ease before offering him a glass of orange juice. A nice attention! During our very quick check-in, Achille was able to have fun in the children’s play hut located right next to the reception; very practical to avoid the toddlers getting bored on arrival! Once the usual formalities had been completed, a hotel employee took us to our first room. I say first because we stayed in two different rooms over the weekend. While the first was in the 4-star space and the second in the 5-star space, both had two separate rooms and a terrace open to nature.

The room was ready when we arrived and we were able to settle in immediately which is always very pleasant. To open the door, no need for a key or magnetic card, just put your bracelet in front of the lock, so no more forgetting! Comfortable, very clean and very spacious, this room met all our expectations. Special mention to the terrace and its crazy view of the surrounding mountains… a breathtaking panorama! Inside, a small welcome gift (a gourd and a tote bag) was waiting for us… a little attention that did not fail to seduce us. In addition to the traditional welcome products for parents, others, specially adapted for children, were also available.

While both rooms gave us the satisfaction we expected, they differed from each other in their comfort. The room in the Exclusive Collection offers real added value in terms of bed linen, bedding quality and surface area.

The only negative point is the lack of air-conditioning in the rooms. While this is not a problem for a winter holiday, it can become a problem when the mercury rises.

The hotel has a lovely spa, which unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to test during our stay. However, the fitness room and the various sports facilities available to guests are absolutely top-notch. These facilities combine cleanliness, tidiness and organisation, making Les Arcs Panorama the ideal village for sports families; they offer many free group lessons, a real bonus to get motivated! Our son, Achille, loved the swimming lessons given by Fabian, an absolutely brilliant instructor who has been able to create a great relationship of trust with him. We also took part in a mountain bike outing and the quality of the equipment coupled with the beauty of the scenery made it an absolutely perfect ride!

The kids-club, free of charge, was a great success! Totally secure, it is managed by numerous animators who make the effort to learn the first names of all the children, a little attention that always makes us happy. Between animations, concerts, snacks and various activities (building huts, flower picking, games, etc.), the children lack nothing! Icing on the cake: the children’s club has a very practical nursery area for parents who want to ski while leaving their child in the expert hands of a dedicated team. Finally, a changing room is located just a stone’s throw from the reception. Very well decorated, it is also very convenient in case of need.

The buffet restaurant is very qualitative and varied, which is rare enough for a buffet to be highlighted. The wines included in the all-inclusive formula are of high quality, especially in the gourmet restaurant. In general, we have always been well received in the hotel’s restaurants. As well as offering varied and tasty dishes that showcase local products, they have high chairs that are perfect for children. Once the order was placed, we never waited very long before seeing our dishes arrive…a very reasonable delay that you can find in the room service, which is also super-fast!

The buffet restaurant is very large and has a nice terrace, which is always pleasant in summer. Hiking enthusiasts can leave with peace of mind, as the hotel offers small packs of sandwiches to take away that are perfect for this kind of occasion. It is moreover during a hike that we met a nice family with whom we had dinner in the evening, that is to say if the spirit of the establishment encourages openness and new encounters!

Les Arcs Panorama has therefore proved to be in line with our expectations and we will return there for sure. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service, the friendliness of the staff and the casual-chic spirit that reigns in this hotel. The Exclusive Collection part is more confidential, which gives it even more charm.

It was a very successful stay; I hope yours will be too! Have a good holiday!
