The EuroVelo 2, currently being designed, plans to link Westerner Galway to Easterner Dublin, so about 200 km of bike paths. Currently, the path is designed from Athlone to Dublin (about a hundred kilometers) on the Old Rail Trail but the infrastructures to reach Athlone from Galway by bike are efficient. If you prefer to stay in the region, know that famous Conemara, the Burren park and the Kilmore Abbey are nearby. For a more simple stroll, just take a ride around the city longering the Corrib and enjoying the various street entertainments.
